Week three of how to look after your skin on a budget and this time we are going to take a look at a product to hydrate the face.

Hydrating Aloe Essence Mask from BeauuGreen

Face masks are always a great option for looking after your skin and can be done whenever it suits you, while you are relaxing in the bath, reading a book, or if you are brave enough, while you’re cooking dinner.

The Hydrating Aloe Essence Mask was found in Poundstretcher and cost £1.50. It has a high end appeal on the shelf with it’s sleek white packaging and of course, being by BeauuGreen, this is another Korean beauty product.

Reporting to be nourishing and moisturising, this mask is enriched with Aloe essence.

There are a multitude of ways in which Aloe is good for your skin. Probably the most well known one will be when it is used for sunburn. Aloe has a calming effect on the skin and can ease the tight, burning sensation that we get after being burnt. It is not just used in after sun, but also in burn gels.

Aloe is also fantastic, which is probably no surprise, when it comes to nourishing and moisturising the skin. Hydrating thirsty skin and restoring a calmer more refreshed balance to it.

Aloe is also used in anti aging products, skin care for treating blemishes and spots, as well as treatments that are anti inflammatory.

The Mask

The mask was folded and kept fresh inside its foiled packaging, cool to touch and was seeped in the aloe formula. Care was needed to ensure that the excess liquid did not fall onto clothing or furniture when it was being removed from the packaging.

The shape and size of the mask definitely seems to be a one size fits most and it sticks to the contours of the face with ease.

I would not say that there was much of an aroma to this treatment, but it had an instant cooling and soothing effect on the skin. This was not only relaxing, but incredibly refreshing. I do suffer at times with red patches f skin, I tend to have reactions to a lot of skin care products, but this made my skin feel incredible.

Once the mask was removed and the excess absorbed into the skin, my face looked and felt refreshed and renewed. It was certainly nourished and felt hydrated, leaving my complexion clearer and brighter.

Was It Worth It?

Within this series, I would definitely say that the Hydrating Aloe Essence Mask is by far the best of the products I have tried. I will be purchasing a few more of these and incorporating them into my skin care routine when ever I want a little pick me up, or refresher.
