It’s been a busy month, what with our new podcast launch, competition and Halloween! So, we need some much needed self-care this weekend, to help us relax and unwind.

Read a Good Book

Now the nights are longer, the leaves are falling and the days just feel more dull. It is the perfect time to make a hot drink, grab your favourite blanket and curl up with a good book.

There is something comforting about doing this during the Autumn and Winter months, it’s just a great feeling! We have a couple of new books to be reading and are looking forward to getting some escapism in this weekend!

Binge Watch a Favourite Show

This again, is such a great self-care activity. Switching off from the world outside for a few hours, just becoming absorbed into a show you adore. It can be one you have seen 50 times, or something new you have been trying to find the time to watch.

Find that time, grab some snacks and snuggle up to delve into a world that’s far from your own.

Create Something

If your creative juice are flowing, then harness them and get that self-care in by creating something extraordinary. Whether you are a painter, drawer, writer or crafter, this is the perfect time to do that project you’ve been waiting to do!

Creativity is so good for your mental health and can really help you relax!

Draw a Bubble Bath and Listen to Soothing Music

Music, as they say, is food for the soul. It’s lovely to run a hot bubble bath, pop your favourite relaxing playlist on, maybe light some candles and just relax.

Take this opportunity to do a hair mask and perhaps a luscious face mask. Really make this time all about giving yourself some incredible self-care. When you get out put on that body lotion you adore too!

Get Up Late

It doesn’t have to be an activity that represents giving yourself time for self-care. Staying in bed later than you would, getting some extra z’s and just not rushing, can be so rewarding in itself.

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, try to find that time to give yourself a treat, or two. Pick one of the ideas above, check out our Wellness & Self-Care section for other ideas, or even combine a few together. Just relax and enjoy!
